After a night of drinking and brainstorming great ideas, two locals forgot to write any of their thoughts down and were at a loss the next day when trying to remember what they talked about. Being resourceful though, they quickly devised a way to retrieve their seemingly lost conversation.

The two headed up to the Altruria Police Department and through a public information request, were able to get copies of recordings done by the department’s eavesdropping division.

“Finally, a government service I can get behind!” stated one of the friends who asked to remain anonymous. He’s happy knowing that anytime they needed to remember something, all they have to do is request that information from the police.

A public communications officer with the department responded to a request for comment by remarking “we’re always happy to serve the people in ways that serve ourselves. Once people realize the valuable services we supply, we can be even more effective. It is our hope to have a microphone and eventually a camera in every home and business. When it comes to safety and ensuring no one is breaking the law, you can’t hold back.”

A source close to police investigators say that a raid on the two locals is imminent, due to evidence collected which leads them to believe the two might be smoking pot while coming up with their ideas.
