A local political activist group has been accomplishing big things by holding monthly meetings and talking at one another about their political problems.
The group originally had set out to educate people, work within the community, make connections, form political alliances, change laws and get more people involved with doing so, but found that to not be particularly important to the whole process.
Now that the group just meets each month to complain about how things need to be better while hitting on talking points with no real depth to their conversations, they’ve really begun to turn things around as they take pride in the number of Twitter and Facebook followers they’ve obtained.
The real success though is in the parties they throw periodically throughout the year. Happily, they almost always break even and have a good time; a roaring success!
